He had worked his entire life to get to this point, and he wasted no time making an impact in the league. From his rookie season with the Memphis Grizzlies until his retirement last year, Nash averaged 18 points and 6 assists per game. He was known for his quick IQ on the court, as well as his toughness. The Utah Jazz traded for him in 2016 and he spent three seasons there before retiring last year. Now, he’s back in Memphis, working as an analyst for the team. Nash is one of the most successful players in NBA history, and we wanted to celebrate that on Roast Night this year.

As a result of their athletic backgrounds, Jason and his siblings grew up skating and playing hockey all across Newfoundland. When Jason was just eight years old, his family moved to Toronto so that he could attend junior hockey school.
After finishing junior, Jason attended college at Colgate University where he played NCAA Division I hockey for the Hamilton Bulldogs. In 2006-07, he led the Bulldogs to their first ever Atlantic Hockey Championship.
Jason Nash has had a successful NHL career with the Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators. He has won two Stanley Cups with Dallas in 1999 and 2001, and another with Ottawa in 2013.
