As a seller it is important to understand that you don’t have to sell all your items in a day. Each item takes time to sell and time is of the essence when you are trying to sell items in a crowded marketplace. Therefore, you need to think outside the box and try to sell your items at times that your competitors do not.

. Set your prices based on demand and what you think people will pay

. Have the cash box out so customers can make change easily

. Sign the register daily so you can scan the price tape whenever you need to

. Use the product immediately. Nothing is worse than selling something you were going to give away for free to people who never pick it up

When it comes to selling items, you need to put as much care into it as you do in your kitchen. First off, do not sell to an employee. When someone comes into the store to buy a product, hand it over and don’t make them wait while you set the price or go to get the cash box. If they want to buy it right away, they can, but then it will be at the wrong price.

Get a look at the books at your store. It should show the markups on your items and how much you sell each item for.

The Basics of Stardew Valley

To start, you can head to either the Fogport or Summerdale Quarry as these are the two building blocks of any successful item shop. You can then talk to the Farmer who runs the Quarry and sell the items you have made.

At the end of the day, it’s always best to ask the Farmer what he or she thinks. Just don’t forget that it is never a bad idea to ask for his or her advice. You can always leave a thank you message and give him or her a large amount of XP, however.

Crafting items

When you first start crafting you can only make common items, and can only craft items by right clicking on your inventory in the left panel and then selecting to craft from there.

But what if you really want to make an awesome bow and arrow? Or just want to change your character’s clothes.

If you want to try making new items or just trying out an idea you may have, just click on your character’s inventory icon in the left panel and select to craft a new item!

Crafting can get a bit confusing at first as there’s lots of options, but in the end it’s just fun and you’ll find out lots of cool recipes. I recently decided to make a knife, and I have no idea why I made the perfect leaf shield with my first two hits in the shield building but I did it.

Selling your items

Ever since you start Stardew Valley, you can create items to sell. Doing so can help you earn money, and you can put whatever you make in your bank for later. Items don’t go directly into your money.

Unlike previous games such as Spelunky or Shovel Knight, in Stardew Valley there’s no mechanic for keeping money and no specific place to keep it, so you’re free to keep whatever you want.

Most items you can sell won’t sell at all, so you might want to consider selling whatever you have, regardless of the market value.

Creating an Item Shop

When you first start a game in Stardew Valley, there’s a shop in the village called the Bazaar. This is where you can sell items.

This store doesn’t offer many options, but you can take items to the store if you want to sell them.
